Competitive Intelligence - User Manual
Introduction
The competitive intelligence tool uses internet usage statistics to provide the means to monitor your competitor's web sites and to identify their major traffic sources. You can find out which sites are responsible for sending traffic to their pages, including search engines, the search keywords used and if the keywords are from organic listings or via paid PPC programs.
The three main tools are link intelligence, search intelligence and campaign intelligence.
Link intelligence provides information as to which web sites and web pages are sending traffic (and how much traffic) to the competitor's web site. Search intelligence provides information as to which keywords are sending traffic to the competitor's web site. Campaign intelligence provides information as to which keywords are being bid on in the competitor's paid campaigns.
Throughout the manual, the competitive intelligence tool will be referred to as CI.
